Value Proposition
Phylogy's revolutionary TripleStream™ Line Conditioner focuses on enabling video over DSL on copper which:
-
Increases DSL data transfers (rate) over conventional copper telephone lines
-
Extends effective distance (reach), solving the so-called "last mile" challenge
-
Improves data integrity (refinement) through unique patented conditioning circuits that mitigates effects of noise and other disturbers
The TripleStream™ Line Conditioner is Rate and Reach Ready™: Once the installation and splicing are complete, each line within a Phylogy TLC automatically detects the wire pairs that carry DSL, and calibrates itself to maximize performance.
Once the Line Conditioners are installed (only 4-6 hours with one truck roll), all customers from 6,000 - 12,000 feet from the Central Office will enjoy 12+ Mbps on 26 AWG. With 24 AWG, the TLC will produce higher data rates and farther reach.
Hours vs. Months
Phylogy's TripleStream™ Line Conditioners are installed in a matter of hours by a single field technician. Compared to the alternative of fiber-optic cabling, which requires extensive civil engineering, permits, right-of-way purchase, costly equipment and labor to install, Phylogy's Line Conditioners save Telcos months of integration time and achieves immediate Return on Investment. The TLCs install the same way as a Telco-approved load coil, making them familiar, simple and easy for field technicians.
Easy Maintenance
Phylogy's Line Conditioners require no changes at the central switching office (central office or CO), require no equipment at the end-user location, and require no expensive certifications or external power (they are "Line Powered" or "Express Powered"). Each multi-line unit is environmentally-hardened, sealed, consume extremely low power and require no environmental control system for cooling. Phylogy's Line Conditioners were designed with a "Splice and Walk Away™" philosophy.
Achieving 12 Mbps over 12,000 feet
Many telcos providing video services over copper today are able to enjoy only a few megabits per second data rate at 12,000 feet -- not enough to provide Triple Play service. Phylogy's Line Conditioning technology significantly improves ADSL2+ data rates, enabling 12 Mbps at 12,000 feet on 26AWG. 12 Mbps allows the telco to provide two video streams plus internet. At shorter distances or on thicker gauge wire, Phylogy enables data rates of 18 Mbps or more at 8,000 feet, allowing the telco to provide higher service levels to subscribers.
